YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat review
When YSL’s Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation launched a few years ago, it quickly became a blogger favourite. With it’s wonderfully dewy and glowy formula it’s a popular foundation for achieving natural and illuminated skin and it’s my personal favourite.

Affordable Eyeshadow Palettes - Revolution Iconic
It’s fair to say that I have more than enough eyeshadow palettes to last a lifetime. The British high street has really stepped up in the last few years in terms of eye palettes and I am grateful because they are one of my favourite makeup items. I have the odd individual shadow but it’s rare that I will use only one shadow for a look so I opt for eyeshadow palettes to provide me with a handy variety of coordinating tones.

Bourjois Java Rice Powder - Hourglass dupe?
As Christmas rolls around again, everybody and their neighbours cat seem to be talking about this year’s limited edition Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder palette. This year it’s called the Ambient Lighting Edit and does look rather wonderful but at £65 for just over a quarter ounce of product, it is definitely not affordable.

Best of: high street dry shampoo
Since I discovered the magic wonder that is dry shampoo at some point in my teens, I’m fairly sure I’ve never been without a bottle. I’m lucky enough to have fairly oily roots and dry ends so to keep my hair in a healthy condition I like to wash it as little as possible which I can only get away with thanks to some effective dry shampoos.

A super quick and wearable smoky eye
As the days are growing ever shorter (and colder) it's less and less tempting to get out of bed. Now I don't think that anybody should feel the need to wear makeup to work but if you do want to put something on but don't want to spare more than 5 minutes, then this long lasting smoky eye is for you.

A perfect winter floral fragrance
I'm not really one for deeper scents; my favourite perfumes are light and floral, think Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. Occasionally though, on dark winter nights I'm tempted to try something bolder and musky.

Hydrating and brightening Winter skincare staples
I suffer from dry skin but this Winter I've found my skin has become a little sensitive too so below are a few of my pics to keep skin supple and bright in the cold weather.

Five perfect berry lipsticks for Winter
An oldie but a goodie, Revlon's ColourBurst Balm Stain in Crush is a classic berry tone with a real purple hue. I love this when I want a really serious berry stained lip. The formula is easy to wear and as the name suggests, leaves a stain behind so you should be left with colour all day. When swatching on my hands, this was the only formula that I couldn't get off with a micellar water - leaving behind a pink stain.
Another twist up stick but with a glossy finish and pinker tone is Seventeen's Lip Crayon in Knockout. I love wearing this bright berry shade throughout the winter months. It's a nice nod to the berry trend but still brightening on my pale skin. Though this formula is more glossy it lasts really well throughout the day and isn't scented if you're not keen on Revlon's minty flavour.
For a classic but wearable matte burgundy, I opt for the No7 Match Made Stay Perfect Lipstick in Loganberry. This is a gorgeous plumy pink shade with a smooth matte formula which will stick around for ages. If this isn't quite your tone, No7 Have absolutely loads of gorgeous matte berries and will custom match you to your perfect shade.
Another old favourite is Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie a seriously glossy, deep pink berry lipstick. This is a really gorgeous and flattering pink berry which looks equally beautiful paired with a smoky eye or graphic liner. Not the longest lasting but a lovely colour and surely everybody loves Revlon's Lip Butters?
For anybody dipping their toes into berry lips, the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me is perfect. Honestly the baby lips formula isn't my favourite as I don't actually find it that moisturising, but they are popular for a reason. This sheer berry hue is perfect for a low key makeup look if you still want to embrace Winter colours. It also looks lovely applied sparingly to cheeks for a soft flushed look.

Seriously hydrating balms for super soft lips
Keeping your lips dry come winter can be a nightmare. The biting weather takes it's toll and all of the deep berry tones you're probably slathering on won't help either. Personally I suffer from dry lips all year round and have a minor panic if I find myself outside without a balm. I've tried and tested (and possibly consumed) more lip balms that I can remember over the year and ended up with two solid staples that ensure my lips stay nourished through the harsh winter weather.

Bargain high street creamy concealer
Collection's lasting perfection concealer has become a cult product among beauty bloggers and enthusiasts. It's often labelled as a dupe for the Nars Creamy Concealer and finds it's way into plenty of 'drugstore favourites', and '10 under £10s'. However, if I'm really honest - I'm actually not that big a fan.

Get that English rose winter glow
When it comes to blush, I like a lot but I like it to look fairly natural. I opt for cream formulas more often than not, and prefer a slightly dewy finish. As the weather is getting colder and we draw closer to winter, I love to pop on a nice flush of colour that gives the impression of bitten rosy cheeks.

The best brow products: highstreet and high-end
Eyebrows are a game-changer in beauty, they really can change the shape of your face and a polished brow will tie together a makeup look. I've played around with a multitude of products and formulas over the years and the following are a few of my favourites.

The Beauty Blender: worth the hype?
Since the original Beauty Blender was created in 2003 it's cemented its place as the beauty industry's favourite sponge. In the past few years, plenty of other brands have been coming out with their own 'dupes' and lots of beauty bloggers and makeup artists have dismissed them as lesser competitors. So is the original pink sponge worth it's resound praise or it's £16 price tag?
