Five perfect berry lipsticks for Winter

An oldie but a goodie, Revlon's ColourBurst Balm Stain in Crush is a classic berry tone with a real purple hue. I love this when I want a really serious berry stained lip. The formula is easy to wear and as the name suggests, leaves a stain behind so you should be left with colour all day. When swatching on my hands, this was the only formula that I couldn't get off with a micellar water - leaving behind a pink stain.

Another twist up stick but with a glossy finish and pinker tone is Seventeen's Lip Crayon in Knockout. I love wearing this bright berry shade throughout the winter months. It's a nice nod to the berry trend but still brightening on my pale skin. Though this formula is more glossy it lasts really well throughout the day and isn't scented if you're not keen on Revlon's minty flavour.

For a classic but wearable matte burgundy, I opt for the No7 Match Made Stay Perfect Lipstick in Loganberry. This is a gorgeous plumy pink shade with a smooth matte formula which will stick around for ages. If this isn't quite your tone, No7 Have absolutely loads of gorgeous matte berries and will custom match you to your perfect shade.

Another old favourite is Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie a seriously glossy, deep pink berry lipstick. This is a really gorgeous and flattering pink berry which looks equally beautiful paired with a smoky eye or graphic liner. Not the longest lasting but a lovely colour and surely everybody loves Revlon's Lip Butters?

For anybody dipping their toes into berry lips, the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me is perfect. Honestly the baby lips formula isn't my favourite as I don't actually find it that moisturising, but they are popular for a reason. This sheer berry hue is perfect for a low key makeup look if you still want to embrace Winter colours. It also looks lovely applied sparingly to cheeks for a soft flushed look.
